Here are some reviews of Provo Canyon School by parents and former students:
- My son was suffering from bipolar disorder when he joined the school in 2005. He was having a troubled teenager life. Due to his disorder, he could not attend school. Medicine intake and being to hospital many times in his life did not improve his condition. At Provo Canyon School he was transformed to a steady normal teenager and achieved good grades at classes. Parents are informed of the child's progress through the phone. Home visits can also be arranged with the permission of the therapist. My son and I have a better relationship now. After leaving Provo Canyon School, he has being going to a public school and will be turning 17 soon.
- The teachers are amazing and are the ones who made the Provo Canyon School a great place for students like me. I was a student there two years ago. The teachers are ready to sort out problems and help. The staff is ok. Compared to the boy's campus there are any activities arranged in the girls' campus. Parents need to be more involved and aware of the child's progress, weekly phone calls are not enough. If I sum up, the Provo Canyon School is a great place.
- I did not have a good experience at Provo Canyon School during my stay there at 2003-2004. The school authorities are strict they need to allow students some liberties. We were not allowed to intake water during the school working time or allowed to speak during a class. The bathroom could be used only twice every day. The cemented floor with a carpet placed over it caused knee problems, which prevented my exercise regime. Do think and consult with other parents and ex-students before joining the school.
- Provo Canyon School proved to be a turning point of my adolescent life. I felt there was still hope in life after joining the school. The only thing I dislike about the school is how it manipulates our thinking to turn into "extremely good" persons with the best behavior. I felt this to be too ambitious and against human nature. I would recommend the school because if clicked for me, in a very large way.
